Colour Pieces
Although Liam’s primary discipline was sculpture, he did paint on occasion. For a brief period in 1970, he introduced colour to his relief work and produced the following pieces. Unfortunately, the period of experimentation did not last and there are no other known coloured pieces besides these in his portfolio.
The “Bull and Red Flag” has faded over time due to the staining technique employed, but the other pieces have retained their vibrancy and possess a contemporary feeling.
